Jamahal Hill dispatched of Johnny Walker in the main event of UFC Vegas 48. A quick counter right hand in the first round put the Brazilian to sleep after Walker was finding some early success.

This is Hill’s second first round knockout in as many fights and with those knockouts being against highly rated talents such as Jimmy Crute and Johnny Walker, Hill has definitely proved he’s an excellent talent and is 100% a future star of the sport.
I’d love to see Hill face off against someone such as Volkan Oezdemir or Dominic Reyes, I think they could both put him through his paces, yet he can still come out victorious.
Kyle Daukaus returned after his draw with Kevin Holland with a win at the buzzer of the first round over Jamie Pickett. Late on in round 1 Daukaus found a D’arce Choke, which if Pickett was able to withstand for one more second, he could’ve made it to round two.

The D’arce is becoming Daukaus’ patented move, with six finishes via the submission, two more than Vicente Luque and three more than Tony Ferguson.
Looking around the division, I think Daukaus deserves another shot at fighting someone in the top 15. A rematch with Kevin Holland should be on the cards, depending on his performance against Alex Oliveira at UFC 272. Former champion, Chris Weidman said “I want to fight before I turn 38 in June,” I think Kyle Daukaus would give Weidman a tough test for his return fight after his leg break against Uriah Hall at UFC 261 in April last year.
