Alexa Bliss is Scintillating

As much as I don’t like Raw, I do like the Alexa Bliss, Bray Wyatt storyline that has been going on for the last couple of months. As I’ve mentioned before, as I’m not interested in 90% of the storylines on Raw and the show is still 3hrs long, I only watch clips of segments that spark my interest on YouTube.

Alexa Bliss’ character is one of those things. Her character work while she’s been with Bray has been incredible. The way she plays the sweet innocent but creepy girl is amazing and it’s been so refreshing to see her do something creative on Raw. Furthermore, the manner in which she switches into her own Fiend character is brilliant and you can tell she enjoys playing this character.

Initially, I wanted Nikki Cross to play this role as Bray’s female alternate however, I know for a fact that Nikki couldn’t have done half the job that Alexa is doing right now. I think what Alexa has over Nikki is that although Nikki was a psychopath in SANITY, she hasn’t really played the role of an innocent babyface in WWE. Alexa who’s played an innocent babyface in NXT, with Blake and Murphy and a heel on the main roster has that experience with both sides of the coin and she knows how to flip it at any time. Alexa is also has a much better promo than Nikki and her ability to sell this character by brilliant timing of crazy laughter and sinister looks into the camera couldn’t be matched by any other female on the Raw or Smackdown rosters. She also has the Harley Quinn look that once again presents a demented persona so she fits perfectly with this Female Fiend character. I hope she wins the Rumble on Sunday as there’s no one else that I think deserves it right now.

I think it’s really good to see Alexa without the Fiend at the moment. She’s come into her element in both her matches with Asuka and the feud with Randy Orton. Normally, I can predict exactly what WWE are going to do with the majority of their storylines, but this one I have no clue what the plan is. I don’t know if those two are going to have some sort of mixed gender match or if a reborn Fiend will return and that element of not knowing the future excites me.

My prayer to WWE with this is: DON’T FEED HER TO CHARLOTTE FLAIR! If they even consider doing this, the uproar from fans would be astronomical.

All in all, Alexa has a brilliant character and I hope this continues for the foreseeable future. It’s crazy what you can do with a little bit of creative freedom eh?
