Money in the Bank 2018 Predictions

I’m back! Apologies for the lack of blogs. Anyway, The Money in the Bank PPV is normally a good one, however, the build-up to this event has been poor, to be honest. Let’s get started!

Women’s Money in the Bank Match

First of all, I’m ruling out all Smackdown superstars to win this match so Lana, Becky Lynch, Naomi and Charlotte Flair are not in consideration to win this match. I’ll get on to the reason why later on. So, we are left with Alexa Bliss, Natalya, Ember Moon and Sasha Banks. I think Natalya may win then cash her briefcase in the match between Nia Jax and Ronda Rousey later on in the show. I also believe Bayley is going to cost Banks her chance at the briefcase leading into their long-awaited rematch from NXT Brooklyn.

Prediction: Natalya

Roman Reigns vs Jinder Mahal

Knowing WWE this will probably be the main event of the show, but all jokes aside, the build-up has been poor for this match. I’m just not interested. Anyway, I hope this match is kept short with a finisher frenzy with Reigns leaving out on top. This will hopefully begin his journey to Summerslam where he finally beats Lesnar so we can get this tragic storyline out of the way and they can put the belt on someone fans care about.

Prediction: Roman Reigns

Daniel Bryan vs Big Cass

“I’m 7 ft tall. You’re not. Therefore I’m better than you.” This sums up this entire feud and if this match reaches anywhere near 10 minutes I’m gonna lose it. I want Bryan to tap Cass in a matter of minutes so we can move both wrestlers away from this diabolical feud.

Prediction: Daniel Bryan

Seth Rollins (c) vs Elias – Intercontinental Championship

I’ve actually enjoyed the build-up of this match, Elias smashing Seth with a guitar. Seth retaliating by destroying Elias’ prized possession. Seth should win as he has been on a hot streak as of late and he’s carrying Raw because the main champion barely shows up. I’m going for a Rollins win but this should be a decent match.

Prediction: Seth Rollins

Bobby Lashley vs Sami Zayn

Well… This feud has been lacklustre, hasn’t it? You can even tell Sami Zayn is trying to make his promos entertaining but the content he’s been given is poor. This whole military thing is a bore fest and we all know Lashley will win.

Prediction: Bobby Lashley

Carmella (c) vs Asuka – Smackdown Women’s Championship

I’m really pumped up for this and I can’t wait for James Ellsworth to return to help Carmella retain. This was the event that Ellsworth won Carmella the Money in the Bank and I think he’ll come back to help her defeat Asuka. Carmella can become one of the best heel champions if this happens.

Prediction: Carmella

Nia Jax (c) vs Ronda Rousey – Raw Women’s Championship

I’m interested to see if WWE put the belt on Rousey now because if they do it would be undeserved. This is why I think that Natalya will win the Women’s Money in the Bank. I’m going with Rousey to win but I think Natalya will cash-in and start a feud between Rousey and Natalya.

Prediction: Ronda Rousey with Natalya to cash in the Money in the Bank successfully

Aj Styles (c) vs Shinsuke Nakamura – WWE Championship

Nakamura chose the stipulation after beating Styles in a one-on-one match on SmackDown. It will be the fourth time they battle with the title on the line and this should be the finale. With Nakamura finally coming out as WWE Champion. If Nakamura loses there’ll be no point for his heel turn.

Prediction: Shinsuke Nakamura

Mens Money in the Bank Match

Now is there any point of putting the briefcase on a brand without an active champion. In my opinion, no. So that excludes all the Raw competitors in this match. Sorry, Braun Strowman, Bobby Roode, Kevin Owens and Finn Balor. So once again are left with 4 superstars:  Rusev, The Miz, Samoa Joe and a member of The New Day. I don’t think Rusev or any member of The New Day will win as they haven’t been presented as a top star. So we have locked it down to The Miz and Somoa Joe. And I’m going with Joe. The reason is Miz has firstly won this match before. Secondly, we’ve seen him lift the briefcase before on Smackdown this week. For these reasons, I’m going with Joe.

Predictions: Somoa Joe

I’m with you on the Samoa Joe prediction. He really needs this win, to then enter a main event feud with Styles (who I think will retain) My hope is that we then get a Bryan vs Nakamura rivalry over the rest of the summer!
