The Elimination Chamber is 13 days away and I thought I would watch a random Elimination Chamber PPV and go through it.
Jack Swagger vs Big E (c) – Intercontinental Championship
Zeb Colter comes out with Swagger in this match and tells the sound people to cut the music. Then he goes on to say that, Big E is the reason for illegal immigrants coming into the USA. I was nearly in tears!
Big E comes out hot getting the advantage over Swagger hitting him with some beautiful belly to belly suplexes. Swagger spills to the outside where Big E meets him with a lariat taking Swagger down. However, Colter comes behind E and E is about to lay the smackdown on Colter but Swagger turns around and attempts to hit him with a right hand but E blocks and drives Swagger to the steel steps. Swagger takes advantage again by leaving the ring and then pulling E back first onto the floor. Swagger begins to dominate as your typical WWE match script comes to fruition. E fights back then both men hit each other with clothesline laying themselves both out. Jey went for the running hip attack in the corner but Gunn was pulled out. However, Jey gained speed to jump over the top rope onto Road Dogg. But Gunn came in with a clothesline. Jimmy hit a superkick but somehow Gunn kicked out after a Famouser attempt. Road Dogg distracted Jey and Gunn rolled up Jimmy for the win.
Darren Young vs Titus O’Neill
O’Neill started this match taunting Young. You could tell this match was just to relax the crowd after the first two matches and it was blatant that the crowd didn’t care about the match. O’Neill dominated the early start of the match. Young began to build momentum with a clothesline over the top rope and a flying lariat but the strength of O’Neill came back by Irish whipping him into over the top rope and constantly driving Young’s back into the ring post. Young went for a crossbody but O’Neill caught him and hit him with two backbreakers before tossing him across the ring. Young eventually started to rally with a neckbreaker on the apron but O’Neill kicked out. O’ Neill reversed Young’s finisher (I guess) and hit him with the Clash of the Titus for the win.
The Shield vs The Wyatt Family
The two best factions of their generations going face to face.
The Wyatt Family has looked incredibly strong in the months leading into Elimination Chamber, and it became abundantly clear from the trio’s victory on Sunday that there are even bigger things in store for them. The crowd were into it going into the match and they had a face-off before the match and the roof came off The Shield got the better of that encounter. However, Rowan hit Rollins with a huge power move causing the Wyatt’s to gain control. Then Rollins got to tag Reigns in for the two leaders of their groups to face off. You can tell this was before the Women’s Revolution. This was a tragedy. Aj Lee deserved so much better. Cameron got a minute of action before Aj took over. After two minutes Cameron gained momentum until Aj used Cameron momentum to take her out of the ring where she celebrated like she had won the match and Cameron swiped her legs out from the apron. Tamina, Aj’s bodyguard, tried to hit Cameron with a superkick but she ducked and Tamina took out Aj. Cameron went for a pin but Tamina broke it up, so Cameron went for Tamina but she missed and Tamina hit her with a clothesline causing a disqualification.
Batista vs Alberto Del Rio
Del Rio came out in a neck brace, tracksuit and crutches, showing the effects of Batista attacking him 2 weeks prior to the event. Del Rio said because of that attack he couldn’t compete. Then from out of nowhere, he attacked Batista with the crutch. This was a genius idea from Del Rio. The bell rang and the crowd were behind Del Rio. Del Rio targeted the arm of Batista. Everytime Big Dave got momentum Alberto took out the arm to the enjoyment of the crowd. Batista was being dominated by Del Rio until he hit a spear. Everytime Batista hit a move the crowd booed. Batista gained momentum and went for a Batista bomb but Del Rio got out and hit him with the kick. The Animal reversed the cross arm breaker to hit Del Rio with the Batista Bomb for the 123.
