Well…. This PPV was much better than I thought it would be. To be honest I was expecting everything to be bad apart from the two Hell in a Cell matches but WWE proved me wrong.
New Day vs The Usos- Tag team championships
Match of the night for me by far. There were some terrific spots with kendo sticks however I feel like they were overdone in the end. However the chemistry between the two teams is amazing. There were so many near falls so I was on the edge of my seat the whole match. The good thing about these near falls was that you actually thought the match was going to end unlike Roman Reigns bs John Cena last month. Anyway this was a great way to end an outstanding feud. Unfortunately, my predictions were wrong though and the Usos have now won 5 tag titles in WWE.
Prediction: New Day
Result: The Usos
Randy Orton vs Rusev
The only real positive from this match was the fact it was over 20 seconds. Randy buried young talent in Rusev there was a point that I thought that Rusev was going to win when he reversed an RKO into an accolade however Orton slithered out and hit him with an RKO. 1.2.3. The match was average at best. These predictions haven’t gone well two wrong so far.
Prediction: Rusev
Result:Randy Orton
Tye Dillinger vs Baron Corbin vs Aj Styles -US championship
There was a change on the Pre show (which I didn’t watch). Tye Dillinger was added to the US title match to make it a triple threat. I still would’ve picked Corbin to win though so I get a point with this one. This match missed something for me. I wasn’t fully up for it. Don’t get me wrong it was good but I think it missed something special for me. I could’ve scripted this if I wanted to. Apart from that I got my first prediction right yay.
Prediction: Baron Corbin
Result: Baron Corbin
Charlotte Flair vs Natalya- Womens Championship
I think this match was to give the crowd a break from all the fast paced action. Also the crowd weren’t invested in it. It was a bit slow for me and the ending was poor as Natalya got herself disqualified as she hit Charlotte with a steel chair. However there was that moonsault which was good. However this was basically a match you would see on free tv. Finally there was no Carmella pretty disappointing. Maybe they are saving it for survivor series or Royal Rumble who knows?
Prediction: Charlotte
Result: Charlotte (by dq)
Jinder Mahal vs Shinsuke Nakamura-WWE Championship
Same old, same old. At times I forgot this was championship match. The Singh’s got involved Jinder won. Looks like Jinder is holding the title until next year as WWE is going to India and they want to sell tickets for that event. You can read more on this on my page if you want to.
Prediction: Jinder Mahal
Result: Jinder Mahal
Bobby Roode vs Dolph Ziggler
They were definitely instructed to hold back in this match for the main event. The Ziggler entrance was funny because his music hit and I thought he about to calm out and do the old thing but his music stopped and he walked out casually. I won’t lie WWE did well on that one. Just a regular match these two could do more if they were given time to.
Dolph attacked Roode after the match which signals this feud is continuing. Great….
Prediction: Bobby Roode
Result: Bobby Roode
Shane Mcmahon vs Kevin Owens
Wow I didn’t see the ending coming. This was good. They fought in the cell. On the cell and outside it. Shane did well to hang in there with Owens i feel. When KO gave Shane a pop up power bomb on the cell I thought the cell would capitulate and McMahon would fall to his death but it didnt. Shane jumped off the cell like we all predicted but SAMI ZAYN came from the crowd to pull KO from the table and Shane crashed hard through the annouce table and onto the floor. Sami rolled Kevin onto Shane’s lifeless body for the 1.2.3. Shane is currently in hospital but should be back by Tuesday for Smackdown.
Prediction: Kevin Owens
Result: Kevin Owens
Ohh yeah I forgot the pre show. I got the predictions Benjamin and Gable won.
I got 6 out of 8 this time much better than last. Thanks for reading and have a nice day.
